Martha says:
Michelle Dorrance, the star in tap’s heaven, is returning to the Joyce for Christmas with an expanded version of her hit “Myelination.” She’s also offering a world premiere, “Until The Real Thing Comes Along (a letter to ourselves),” set to music by Fats Domino. Dorrance is known for her idiosyncratic, frenetic tap styling, laced with hip-hop and attitude. Her troupe is wildly energized and disciplined, and she’s a darling of the dance world not only for her own art, but for her generosity in sharing the stage with other enormous talents, as she plans to do with the new work. Runs through December 31.
